Guide for changing seat height on Xact

Etac Xact offers nine different seat heights to optimize the user's access to the rear wheels and provide the appropriate seat height for transfers. Rear wheels, rear wheel attachments, front forks, castors, and anti-tips can be changed depending on the seat height needed.

Features

Back-to-seat angle - Altus

With the 3A back system, the back-to-seat angle can be adjusted according to the most corrected posture of the pelvis and to accommodate for a short or long seat depth (adjustable 8 cm). Adjustable -14° to +11°.

Back height - Altitudo

The 3A back system allows for stepless adjustment of back height to secure the right setting based on the ability of the individual user. Adjustable 32 to 45 cm (with back extension to 51 cm).

Lumbar angle - Angulus

The adjustability of the lumbar angle is unique to the 3A back system. Follow the curvature of the spine and bring support to the pelvis and upper back. Adjustable +/- 16°.

Always-fit solutions

The curved shape of the 3A back profile in combination with the tension adjustable strap back and always-fit accessories such as side cushions, wedges and back widening, etc. lets you create the shape and support needed.

Seat depth

Xact is offered in two seat depth ranges based on the same chassi with different hinges for back support mounting. Stepless adjustment of depth is made by 3A back-to-seat angle.

Handrims

A lightweight handrim in hard anodized aluminium provides greater wear resistance as well as a smoother and harder finish.

Brakes

Scissor brake

Discrete-designed brake that does not interfere when transferring.

Knee lever brake

Brake with an angled handle that provides a larger gripping surface. Available in colour black or red.

One hand brake

One-hand brake with both extended and angled handle included for individual choice.

Anti-tippers

The swing-away anti-tippers can easily be activated or deactivated by the user sitting in the wheelchair.

Push handles

Height adjustable 15 cm with a short grip of 7,5 cm.

Push handles Fixed

Fixed push handles mounted in the 3A back support profile, with a short grip of 7,5 cm.

Leg supports

Leg support Active

Swing-Away lightweight narrow leg supports with a reduced weight of 200 g compared to our Leg support narrow. Swing away or detach for standing transfers or to get closer to the transfer surface. Easy access to the leg support with foot plate as it can be left standing upright on levelled surface.
