The HoverMatt PROS Air Sling enhances patient handling by making repositioning, lateral transfer, turning, and lifting safer and more efficient. By reducing the force needed to move patients by 80–90%, it minimises caregiver strain and supports compliance with safe patient handling guidelines. The breathable design helps protect patients from shear, friction, and pressure injuries, while the fluid-absorbent HoverCover keeps them cool and dry.
Versatile air-assisted support for repositioning and lifting
This multifunctional device combines an air-assisted transfer mattress with a sling for seamless patient movement. It supports Q2 turning, lateral transfers, and supine and seated lifts using ceiling or mobile hoists. The wipeable surface, colour-coded sling straps, and integrated links ensure easy handling and reduce sling migration. Quick inflation via dual air intake valves allows efficient operation, and the device is fully compatible with X-ray, MRI, and CT scans, with documented artefact-free imaging.

If soiled, the HoverMatt PROS Air Sling may be wiped down with disinfectant wipes or a cleaning solution used by your hospital for medical equipment disinfection. A 10:1 bleach solution (10 parts water: one part bleach) may also be used. NOTE: Cleaning with a bleach solution may discolour fabric. To help keep the HoverMatt PROS Air Sling clean, HoverTech recommends using the HoverCover™ Disposable Absorbent Cover. Whatever the patient is lying on to keep the hospital bed clean may also be placed on top of the PROS Air Sling. The single-patient use of HoverMatt PROS Air Sling is not intended to be laundered.
