Universal Axle Plate

The Universal Axle Plate does it all. Achieve seat-to-floor heights in 1/2" increments and adjust CG over a 3" range. With a more rigid design than its competitors, Catalyst 5 offers the best performing ride in its class.

300 lbs Standard Weight Capacity

Light is great but lighter AND stronger is better. Catalyst 5 has a mere transport weight of 12.8 lbs* and a standard weight of 20.8 lbs. Did we mention it has a 300 lbs standard weight capacity? That makes Catalyst 5 the lightest AND strongest folding wheelchair in the K0005 category.

Depth Adjustable Frame

This rear frame option includes depth adjustability, a fold-down back and up to 32° of angle adjustability.

Seating System Cross Braces

Special cross braces and seat hook supports free up space on the side frame for easy seating system adaptability.

Fixed Front Frame

A stronger and lighter frame design, favored by people who do not need swing away hangers, but still need to fold up their chair.

Super Low Swing Away

Similar to the standard swing away frame, it lowers the overall seat height by 1.5". Ideal for foot propellers. Allows the use of swing away footrests.

Swing Away Frame

The classic front frame design constructed from 7000 series aluminum and with a lifetime warranty. Allows the use of swing away footrests.

Transit

Provides securement points so the chair can be used as a seat in a motor vehicle when used in accordance with the User Instruction Manual.

Aluminum Cross Brace

Titanium Cross Brace

Half Folding Backrest

Easily fold the back canes down for a more compact package. Height adjustable with multiple push handle options and tension adjustable back upholstery.

Reclining Backrest

Innovative Reclining Back design incorporates an automatic locking feature into the gas spring for a smooth, positive recline motion. Recline angle ranges from 0°-65°. Comes standard with Removable and Adjustable Stroller Handle.

8° Bend Back Posts with Push Handle

The back cane is vertical to the frame for 9", then bends away at an 8° angle before ending with a 90° bend for a push handle. This opens up the back slightly and might be considered a more comfortable seating position.

Straight Back Posts with Push Handle

The back cane is vertical to the frame with a 90° bend at the top for a push handle.

Straight Back Post without Push Handle

The back cane is vertical to the frame, ending at the exact height you choose. The push handle has been removed to create more freedom for shoulder rotation.

Upholstery

Air Mesh Breathable Cover

A breathable back upholstery cover improves airflow. Available on both standard Velcro adjustable and tension adjustable upholstery. The anti-pilling fabric along the sides improves durability and helps protect from wear when in contact with abrasive surfaces such as Velcro.

Standard Back Upholstery

Uses 1" poly foam with a nylon parapak cloth cover. Very comfortable and shear resistant.

Tension Adjustable

Adjustable straps allow independent support for the pelvis and trunk, improving postural control and alignment.

This easily retrofittable, lightweight design reduces interference on the back canes for less restriction with aftermarket seating. The tall version offers ample surface area above a cushion to provide proper coverage of the client’s body and ensures the transfer tube is easily accessible. Panel and armrest height is increased by 2.5”. Overall height adjustment range of 11"-15”.

Height Adjustable T-Arm

The single post height adjustable arm is easy to release and adjust in height. Lower profile and lighter than competitive models. Available in 8.5"-13.5".

This Angle Adjustable Locking Extendable Flip Up armrest is the ONLY cantilever armrest approved to 400 lbs! It locks into position by a spring loaded latch while extending up to 4" in 1" increments and 7 angle adjustments in 5° increments from -5° to 25°. Available with standard and foam pads in desk or full lengths.

Flip Back

This 2-post arm design offers solid support. It flips back out of the way, but keeps the arm on the chair and readily accessible. Easy release armrest.

Swing Away Armrests

Our 5-spoke composite wheel, now available with color options in 20” and 22” sizes, is 20% lighter than the competition and maintenance free. Colors available are Pink, Blue, White and Fluorescent Red.

Maxx with Drum Brake

This hybrid wheel features a hub design with straight pull radial spokes on the outside flange, like most high-end wheelchair wheels. The inside flange has a 2 cross spoke pattern to handle the torque resulting from stopping a larger wheel by the relatively small hub.

Maxx Spoke

Acts as a true brake allowing the chair to be slowed as opposed to just locking the wheel.

Hemi Wheel Lock

Push to Lock Flush Mount

After engagement the lever is flush to the seat. Lever moves out of the way for people who perform lateral seat transfers.
