World Physical Therapy Day

This week we celebrated World Physical Therapy Day! This is a day to celebrate and acknowledge the passionate work that physiotherapists do for their patients and the wider community.

20 January 2022
Why Etac wants to recognise World Physical Therapy Day

Here at Etac we value the children and adolescents we work with reaching true independence. This is a goal shared by physios who contribute to keeping people well, mobile and independent.
Australia currently has 37,650 registered physiotherapists, some of whom we are lucky to have either in our Product Specialist team.
Our Product Specialists are also fortunate to be able to work with some incredibly talented and proficient physios during the prescribing of our R82 and Convaid assistive devices.

Meet Etac's Physiotherapist, Liesl Gamlin!

At Etac we are very lucky to have Liesl Gamlin, one of our Southeast Queensland Product Specialists, as our resident physio! We asked her a few questions about how being a physio has impacted her life and assisted her in her role here at Etac.

What being a physio means to you?
I’m really grateful to be part of an international allied health community where the overall goal is always to improve health, function and well-being of people in many diverse populations and age groups across Australia and the world.

How does being a physio help you in your role at Etac today?
Being a physio gives me the opportunity to look holistically at the client and to accurately assess their unique situation, then develop a forward plan for how best to assist with their current limitations in pain, body posture, movement and function.
